Firefighters respond to house fire in Madison

UPDATE (WKOW) -- A fire on Madison's east side caused significant damage to a house Sunday.

According to the Madison Fire Department, firefighters arrived at the scene around 11:00 a.m. and were able to get control of the fire in a matter of minutes.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

No injuries were reported, and all pets were accounted for. One cat was rescued from the basement of the house.


MADISON (WKOW) -- Firefighters responded to a house fire in Madison on Sunday.

A house on the 1700 block of Manley Street in Madison caught on fire around 11 a.m. Sunday, according to the Dane County Communications Center.

It is unknown at this time how the fire started.

No injuries were reported.
