MADISON (WKOW) - The holiday weekend was very warm, with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s.
Hot weather continues for most of the week.
Airmass will stay similar through the week. High temperatures will range in the low 90s through Thursday, but it will feel even hotter. Heat Index values range from the low to upper 90s through Friday.
Hot and humid days mean storm chances throughout the week.
Upper level flow becomes more zonal Monday, allowing for a shortwave to make its way to the northern, north west part of the state. This will spark storms in the morning. Which, will gradually move to the south throughout Monday bringing isolated storm chances to the region.
Storm and shower chances continue through Friday, ranging from very isolated to scattered. Chances are higher on Tuesday and Thursday.
As of right now, next weekend looks to be mostly dry and a bit cooler. Highs will likely fall back into the mid-to-upper 80s.
