MADISON (WKOW) - This hot and humid weather continues tomorrow. Strong storms will erupt for the afternoon and evening.
A heat advisory is in effect from until 7 pm for temps getting to the low and mid 90s with heat index values peaking in the upper 90s to around 100!
A heat dome is setting up as a warm front passed through our region yesterday bringing widespread rain, and some higher gusts and small hail.
The heat index will remain in the mid 90s to around 100 degrees into early evening before cooling down overnight.
Take breaks inside, drink plenty of water and keep the sunblock and sunglasses handy.
Also, before exiting your vehicle, check the backseat to make sure you have your kids and pets.
Not much relief with increasing clouds and temps only in the low to mid 70s.

We'll get scattered showers and storms as another system moves in from the Northern Plains. Some of these storms could be severe with large hail and damaging straight line winds.
We'll begin to dry off on the back side of the front, but isolated showers and storms are still possible.

Conditions will be more comfortable with lower levels of humidity, though it'll still be warm in the mid to upper 80s.
