Shots fired at busy Madison intersection

MADISON (WKOW) -- People had to take cover during a shooting in Madison Monday, according to the Madison Police Department.

Police said at about 2:30 p.m. people in the area of Seminole Highway and the the West Beltline Highway saw a black sedan firing multiple rounds from a handgun.

Witnesses who called 911 said the gunman was aiming at a gray car which did a U-turn on Seminole Highway.

Officers found six bullet casings at the scene.

There were no reports of injuries or property damage.
