2013 law behind denial of unemployment benefits to Lone Rock woman

MADISON (WKOW) -- Morgan Giddings of Lone Rock was denied unemployment benefits because she did not make enough money from the time she quit a part-time job to when her full-time employer laid her off.
27 News dug into this and found Giddings would have qualified for benefits prior to Act 20 in 2013.
That law, passed by Republicans in a vote along party lines, removed nine exceptions that made people eligible for unemployment benefits. One of those was an exception for people working more than one job.
