GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Green Bay Packers CEO Mark Murphy is optimistic the team will play this season.
Mark Murphy says the team is in decent shape financially, given the uncertainty. The Packers released their latest financial report on Tuesday.
Murphy says this was the first time ever the team's total revenue was more than $500 million. He says the team now has more than $400 million in its reserve fund, which could help with whatever lies ahead.
"We're in uncharted waters, it's hard to estimate what the impact will be for us this year," said Murphy. "Although we know it will be significant in terms of the revenue hit we'll take this year, but I think for the long-term, we're positioned well financially."
Murphy says he expects about 10,000 to 12,000 fans will be allowed at home games this year because of the coronavirus. Lambeau Field seats more than 81,000 people.
