CAMBRIDGE (WKOW) -- Cambridge is carrying on with an annual summer tradition, despite concerns over COVID-19.

Businesses in the area are participating in Maxwell Street Days, which wraps up Saturday, August 1 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The event offers shoppers large discounts from local businesses.

Business are offering sidewalk sales to provide customers with the opportunity to shop while maintaining a safe distance.

"We're asking people wear masks inside and outside," said Rowe Pottery owner Beverly Semmann. "We felt like it was still a really good way to connect with the businesses and connect with our products and give people an activity to participate in safely."

Organizers say businesses are following all Dane County Public Health orders.
