MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- The Brewers and the MLB confirmed that Sunday's doubleheader with the St. Louis Cardinals has been postponed.
This comes after St. Louis had three players and multiple staff members test positive for COVID-19.
Brewers General Manager David Stearns addressed the media Saturday afternoon.
"It's a waiting game," Stearns said. "We understand that Major League Baseball needs as much information as possible before making decisions about canceling games. We are prepared to play each day until we are told otherwise. That is the way we are going to approach it. We don't know about tomorrow yet. We'll be prepared to play tomorrow until we are told we are not."
The Brewers home opener is now scheduled for Monday at 7:10 p.m. against the White Sox.
