MADISON (WKOW) -- Two people have been arrested following a shooting in a Madison park Tuesday night, according to the Madison Police Department.
Police said more than 300 people gathered at Garner Park Tuesday night for a celebration of life honoring recent homicide victim Maurice Bowman, who was killed in a shooting on Madison's west side last month.
At about 9 p.m. officers were there, monitoring the crowd when they heard gunfire coming from the park.
Police said people started running from the area.
A total of 63 spent shell casings were found in the area from multiple different guns. Two firearms were also located.
As of Wednesday morning, three gunshot victims sought treatment at local hospitals. An additional two victims received injuries not related to the shooting.
MPD said two arrests have been made. Charges include in possession of a firearm, possession of marijuana and one was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
