Man says he was robbed at gunpoint while buying drugs in Madison

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police are investigating an apparent robbery Wednesday morning that resulted from a drug deal.

According to law enforcement officers, they responded to the intersection of Lake Street and Langdon just after 11 p.m.

They found a set of car keys and a loaded handgun magazine lying in the street. A vehicle connected with the scene had 43.5 grams of marijuana inside.

Police said they came in contact with a man who said he was trying to purchase drugs in the area when he was jumped by two men with guns. He said they held the guns to his head.

There is no suspect description to share, and MPD's investigation is ongoing.
