JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- A national sports competition went on this weekend Janesville, with coronavirus precautions.

The Indmar 2020 Show Ski Nationals were held at Traxler Park.

The stadium usually holds 3,000 but was limited to only 225 this year. The event was also streamed online.

"Usually all the bleachers would be filled with so many different people, but it is great that you have all your teammates and stuff still cheering you on here, which has helped," said competitor Grace Petzold.

The Rock Aqua Jays Water Ski Show team put on the tournament.

"This was pretty much our first tournament of the season and it's great to have it right here in Janesville, something that we're familiar with to adapt to and what we're used to seeing it with," said Kevin Ostermeier, VP of the Rock Aqua Jays.

Only competitors, staff and family were in the stands for the events, with masks required.
