Baldeh advances to November election for 48th Assembly seat

MADISON (WKOW) -- Samba Baldeh has won the Democratic primary for Wisconsin's 48th Assembly District.

Baldeh, a member of Madison's city council, faced a challenge from Lindsay Lemmer, Walter Stewart and Jason Vangalis.

Rep. Melissa Sargent, D-Madison, who has represented the district since 2013, is running for state Senate.

Baldeh faces Republican Samuel Anderson in November.

The District includes Madison’s north and east sides and the village of Maple Bluff.
