MADISON (WKOW) - Strong storms brought high winds and heavy rain to parts of southern Wisconsin, but quieter weather is ahead.

High pressure is in control causing a drier trend. Lots of sunshine with seasonal temps in the low 80s this afternoon.

Mostly sunny and warmer in the mid 80s on Wednesday.

Same forecast for Thursday under mostly sunny skies and temps in the mid 80s.

Mid 80s and partly sunny Friday with an isolated storm chance.

A few more storms are possible this weekend as another system moves through. Temps stay warm in the low to mid 80s.

Temps look milder next week only getting to the mid to upper 70s.
