MADISON (WKOW) -- Francesca Hong topped six challengers to win the Democratic primary for Wisconsin's 76th Assembly District seat.

Hong faced challenges from:

Ali Maresh
Dewey Bredeson
Heather Driscoll
Marsha Rummel
Nicki Vander Meulen
Tyrone Cratic Williams

The seat is being vacated by seat being vacated by Rep. Chris Taylor, D-Madison.

Gov. Evers appointed Taylor to fill the vacancy on the Dane County Circuit Court after Judge Jill Karofsky was elected to the state Supreme Court.

Hong will face Republican Patrick Francis Hull and independent, Thomas Leager in November.
