(WISN) -- Vice President Mike Pence will campaign in Wisconsin on the same day Kamala Harris will accept the Democratic Party's vice presidential nomination and address the Democratic National Convention.
Pence said he's looking forward to being in Wisconsin while Democrats hold a mostly virtual convention.
During a one-on-one interview with WISN-TV on Monday, before Joe Biden selected Harris as his running mate, Pence said he was excited to head back to the Badger State.
"I think the choice has never been clearer. The stakes have never been higher. And as the Democrats gather for their national convention online, we'll be bringing our message straight to the people of Wisconsin," Pence said.
The vice president said he and President Donald Trump are optimistic about winning Wisconsin, despite a drop in recent polling.
