Groups collaborate to launch supply drive for people experiencing homelessness

MADISON (WKOW) -- Ahead of an economic justice town hall this weekend, the organization Our Wisconsin Revolution is asking for donations to its supply drive.

The drive is for people who are unsheltered or temporarily unsheltered.

With the help of Allies for Black Lives - Madison and Reshaping Madison Together, the drive is collecting the following items:

  • Socks
  • Underwear
  • Long Johns
  • Larger-sized clothing
  • Boots
  • Regular shoes
  • Toiletries
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Notebooks/pens
  • Tarps
  • Hoodies
  • Gloves
  • Stocking caps
  • Hats
  • Scarves
  • Backpacks
  • Blankets
  • Sleeping pads
  • Phone charging supplies
  • Food (prefer non-perishables)
  • Water

"Our goal here in Wisconsin is to live our values, helping our fellow Wisconsinites and our fellow human beings, people who are less fortunate," said Charlie Ryan with Our Wisconsin Revolution.

You can drop off items to the Clarion Suites on Rimrock Road until Saturday, February 13 at 6 p.m. The groups will then serve pizza, distribute the items and host a town hall on economic justice at 7 p.m.
