Police: Man wanted in connection to Fitchburg shots fired incident

FITCHBURG (WKOW) --  Law enforcement searched for a man Friday, allegedly involved in a October 2020 shots fired incident in Fitchburg.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office Tactical Response Team, along with personnel from the Fitchburg Police Department received two search warrants, one for 2300 block of High Ridge Trail and another for 2300 block of Post Road.

According to officials, they were looking for Juwan J. Wilson, 23, in relation to a shots fired incident that happened around 5:00 p.m. in the 2300 block of Post Road in Fitchburg on Oct. 22, 2020. It was during this incident a man was seen shooting a gun at a car driving on Post Road.

Detectives investigated the incident identifying the man as Wilson and developed a probably cause for his arrest.

Wilson was not found at either location that were searched Friday, according to the Fitchburg Police Department.

Authorities reported Wilson is wanted for first-degree recklessly endangering safety, for the October incident.

Wisconsin Department of Corrections said Wilson is on extended supervision for a pervious case of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and is wanted for a violation of the terms of his supervision.

The U.S. Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force is assisting in the search for Wilson.
