Wisconsin, Notre Dame finish in a tie at LaBahn Arena

MADISON(WKOW)- Wisconsin and Notre Dame finished in a 5-5 tie on Saturday afternoon at LaBahn Arena. But, the Irish claimed the extra point winning the shootout 1-0. The Badgers and Irish split the weekend series.

Ty Pelton-Byce scored two goals for the Badgers including the goal to send it to overtime with 26.8 seconds left in the game. Pelton-Byce recorded his first UW four-point game with two goals and two assists. Cole Caufield, Linus Weissbach, and Roman Achan also scored for the Badgers. Dylan Holloway had three assists. Caufield now has a national-best 19 goals on the season.

Cameron Rowe was in net for the Badgers. Rowe allowed five goals and had 31 saves.

The Badgers are now 15-8-1, 13-6-1 in the Big Ten.

Next up: Wisconsin hosts Ohio State next Friday and Saturday at LaBahn Arena.
