Barn roof collapses at Walworth County animal sanctuary

SHARON (WKOW) -- The roof of a barn at an animal sanctuary in Walworth County collapsed, but all of the animals that were inside are okay.

This happened at Valley of the Kings Sanctuary & Retreat in Sharon.

According to its Facebook page, the sanctuary had pot belly pigs, goats, llamas, ponies, cows and a blind horse living in the barn. It says firefighters were able to get the animals out of the barn.

A veterinarian checked all of the animals and all are in good health..

The sanctuary says the barn is not insured. It is now setting up fundraisers.

Valley of the Kings is dedicated to the "rescue and refuge of abused, abandoned, injured and retired exotic animals," according to its website.
