ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) -- The Rock County Public Health Department announced they will immediately move into Phase 2 of the Rock County Reopening Phased Plan.
The announcement was made in a press release Tuesday from the Rock County Public Health Department.
The decision is in response to multiple weeks of sustained improvement in the spread of COVID-19 in the county and southern Wisconsin region.
The department reports the most significant change moving to Phase 2 is the shift from 25% to up to 50% capacity in facilities and areas that have formal capacity limits. Capacity limits may be lower based on the ability to maintain social distancing measures.
The full details of Phase 2 can be found on the Rock County Public Health Department's website.
Public health is informing the public that moving to Phase 2 does not impact the mask mandate, which is still in effect. And recommended other safety precautions like regular hand washing with soap and water, social distancing, covering your coughs and sneezes, staying home when you are sick and avoiding crowds be maintained.
