Sun Prairie educators receive COVID-19 vaccine



SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- Sun Prairie Area School District employees received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine Friday.
SSM Health is partnering with the district for an on-site mass vaccination clinic.
"We're happy that our staff had this opportunity today," director of school operations Nick Reichhoff said. "I heard a lot of expressions of relief and just a sense that they can see the light at the end of the tunnel."
Employees are set to receive the Moderna vaccine, with the first dose distributed Friday, March 5 and the second dose on Tuesday, March 30.
Reichhoff tells 27 News around 1,000 teachers and staff members were vaccinated Friday.
