Portage police chief makes “high risk” traffic stop

PORTAGE (WKOW) — Portage Police Department’s chief is captured on video out on the streets, pulling over some traffic “violators”.

The department posted a video on its Facebook page Thursday showing Chief Ken Manthey turning on his lights to pull over two boys in a toy car. The post jokingly describes it as a “high risk” traffic stop.

He gets out of the squad and approaches the boys.

“Good morning, you know why I stopped you? You were going too fast,” he said.

Don’t worry though, the post says Chief Manthey let the boys go with just a verbal warning about speeding.
