On Sunday, August 18th, 26 restaurants from Madison and the surrounding area will come together on Breese Stevens Field to put on the most mouth-watering day of summer! Bryan Weinstein, executive director of the Madison Area Chefs Network (MACN), joined us in the studio to share a little more about what we can expect this weekend.
Weinstein said Yum Yum Fest will be anything but ordinary.
“We always encourage the chefs to do something different, something that people can’t find in their restaurants typically,” he said. “So that makes it a special event and really cool for the guests.”
There will be live music and of course, tons of food, but the event also gives back to the community.
“This year we’re going to be working with Community Action Coalition double dollars program,” Weinstein said. “It’s an organization we’ve partnered with a bunch in the past, but it’s an incredible program that works with food accessibility, while also supporting local farms. So it just fits hand in hand with the MACN mission.”
Yum Yum Fest 2019 is Sunday, August 18th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Breese Stevens Field.
