Armed robber holds up VFW in Beloit, according to police

BELOIT (WKOW) — An armed robber walked into the VFW on Afton Road in Beloit Monday and was able to get away with cash, police say.

The robbery took place shortly after noon Monday, May 14. The robber entered the bar area, pointed a handgun at several patrons and took cash from the bar. No injuries were reported, according to the Beloit Police Department.

The suspect is described as a black male who was wearing dark clothes and left the area in a blue van.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
