Fox, Mississippi & Rock Rivers under flood warnings in southern Wisconsin

AFTON (WKOW) – The National Weather Service (NWS) is continuing flood warnings for the Fox and Mississippi Rivers and has recently issued a flood warning for portions of the Rock River, too.

Flooding will remain minor, however this will likely be a long duration issue as more rain is in the forecast later this afternoon and overnight.

Updated 27 Storm Track Forecast

In Afton, the Rock River will continue to rise. It entered flood stage this morning and will crest by Friday. Upstream in Koshkonong, the river will enter into the flood stage by Tuesday and will continue to rise until Friday.

Entire Rock River under slow-no-wake restriction

The Fox River in Princeton will continue to experience minor flooding through midweek, but in Berlin, the river will stay above flood stage through the weekend.

Mississippi River levels will continue to fall in Dubuque. This past weekend, it finally fell from moderate to minor flooding and will fall below flood stage by Wednesday. Meanwhile, near McGregor, the river will fall below flood stage later today.
