Flood warning on Rock River extended to Lake Koshkonong

ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) — The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for the Rock River at Lake Koshkonong.

The Flood Warning already in place at the Rock River in Afton remains.

The Rock River at Lake Koshkonong approached "minor flooding" levels on Wednesday, and is expected to border "moderate flooding" levels by the weekend.

The Rock River at Newville is currently at "pre-flooding" stage.

The entire river is under a "slow-no-wake" restriction. Lake Koshkonong is exempt.

The Town of Milton has issued a "snow-no-wake" restriction on Clear Lake.

Residents of Fulton and Milton Townships can pick up sandbags by contacting their respective Town Halls. Sand will be available at the Newville Park and Ride off I-39/90 on Wednesday by noon.
