Police: Woman hospitalized after driving impaired, flipping vehicle

MADISON (WKOW) — A woman is in the hospital after police say she rolled her vehicle while intoxicated in a Wednesday morning crash.

Madison police say it happened shortly after 1 a.m. on May 16, near South Spaight Street and South Ingersoll Street. Police say the 25-year-old Madison woman was pinned in her car and crews had to get her out.  Police say she had been driving recklessly and hit a parked car.  That caused her vehicle to flip.

The driver was taken to the hospital, but she’s expected to survive. No one else was in the vehicle.  This is her second OWI offense, she could face other driving-related offenses as well.
