Report: Bucks reach agreement with Mike Budenholzer to be new head coach

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) — The Milwaukee Bucks have a new head coach.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports the Bucks reached an agreement with Mike Budenholzer to become their new head coach. Wojnarowski cites league sources.

Budenholzer was previously the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks for five seasons. He led Atlanta to 60 wins during the 2014-15 season, earning NBA Coach of the Year honors that season. The Hawks had a steady decline in their win total the three seasons after that. Atlanta was just 24-58 this past season. In April, Budenholzer and the Hawks mutually agreed to part ways.

His NBA head coaching record is 213-197 in the regular season. He is 17-22 in the postseason.
