Cat adoption event kicks off in Dane County

(WKOW) — Our Pet of the Week is a 2-year-old cat named "Boo" from the Dane County Humane Society.

The shorthair mix is described as cute, sweet and active. 

If you’re interested in adopting her or any other cats at the humane society, there’s a week-long event happening at several locations in Dane County. 

Catapalooza runs June 23 – 29. During the event the fee to adopt a cat is reduced.

  • $10 Adult & Senior Cats
  • $75 Kittens

There are several locations you can find the available cats.

  • DCHS Main Shelter – 5132 Voges Road, Madison, WI
  • Adoption Center West – 680 Grand Canyon Drive #5, Madison, WI
  • Mounds Pet Food Warehouse – 5350 King James Way, Fitchburg, WI                                                                                                               ONLY June 23 from 12-5pm; June 24 from 12-5pm; June 29 from 4-6pm
  • Cats also available for adoption through Madison Cat Project
