No one injured after shots fired at Fitchburg apartment

FITCHBURG (WKOW) — Fitchburg police are investigating shots fired overnight.

They got a call around 2:15 a.m. Monday, July 9 to the 4500 block of Thurston Lane. Multiple people called 911 and reported hearing gunshots.

Officers did find several shell casing and determined someone targeted a specific apartment. There were people inside the apartment, but no one was injured.

Two men were seen running from the area, but witnesses didn’t have a specific description of them. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Fitchburg Police Department at (608) 270-4300 or Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014.
