Sen. Bernie Sanders to campaign for Randy Bryce in Janesville

JANESVILLE (WKOW) — Senator Bernie Sanders will be in Janesville Saturday to campaign for Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District candidate Randy Bryce.

The event is a rally and canvas kick-off at the UAW Local 95 Hall, 1795 Lafayette St. beginning at 5 p.m. Saturday evening.

Bryce is running as a Democrat and was previously endorsed by Sanders. He’s a former ironworker

House Speaker Paul Ryan announced earlier this year he would not run for re-election. Bryce is facing Janesville school board member Cathy Myers in the Democratic primary in August.

"The working families in our district realize that Washington hasn’t been working for them. People across this district know what’s at stake this fall, and they are ready to elect a representative who will fight for Medicare for All, real infrastructure investment, and a government that works for everyone, not just the billionaires and special interests," Bryce said. "I’m proud to have Senator Sanders’ support and I look forward to talking to voters in Janesville with him this weekend.”
