Young girls from Wisconsin cast in Broadway production of ‘WAITRESS’

MADISON (WKOW) — Two little stars from Wisconsin will be taking the big stage in Madison alongside Broadway actors.

Rosalie Manson, 5, is from La Crosse and Addie Manthey, 4, is from Sun Prairie. The two girls will split the role of "Lulu" in the upcoming production of WAITRESS at the Overture at the end of July.

The movie-turned-musical tells the story of Jenna, who dreams of getting out of her small town and loveless marriage through her talent of baking pies. Lulu is the daughter of main character Jenna. She appears in the productions finale scene.

Manson and Manthey were picked to play the role of Lulu recently and Wake Up Wisconsin was first to announce the good news Wednesday during the show.

The girls didn’t have a lot to say about their gig, but they sure were cute during the interview. (Watch video above.)
