Worker has traumatic injuries after construction accident in Lake Geneva

LAKE GENEVA (WKOW) — Officials say a worker has been airlifted to a hospital with traumatic injuries after a construction accident in Lake Geneva Thursday.

According to Lake Geneva Fire Department, a worker fell 30 feet at the site of a church construction project on Bloomfield Road, east of Highway 120. It happened around 1:30 p.m. on August 6. Investigators say workers were installing large, concrete spans at the time.

Bloomfield-Genoa City and Lake Geneva first responders were called to help the worker. He was taken to a landing zone at Veteran’s Park, where he was airlifted to a hospital in Janesville.
