Jackson police officer helps rescue boy from flood water

JACKSON (WKOW) — A Jackson police officer helped rescue a boy from flood waters.

Police say the 9-year-old was playing in flood water Monday afternoon when a strong current pulled him under and he got stuck in a culvert.

Officer Kyle Henning was on patrol when he saw several adults trying to pull the child from a flooded creek.

Henning wrapped his arms around the boy and helped pull him out.

The boy was not hurt.
