UPDATE (WKOW) — The Merrimac Ferry resumed service Thursday night after being closed earlier in the day due to high winds.

SAUK COUNTY (WKOW) — The Merrimac Ferry is not operating due to high winds Thursday morning, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

The ferry goes across the Wisconsin River between Sauk and Columbia Counties. It is used to shuttle WIS 113 traffic 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
