Authorities release name of Beaver Dam officer involved in October shooting

UPDATE (WKOW) — The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the Beaver Dam officer who shot a man during a domestic incident last month.

Sheriffs officials say Officer Brian Linzenmeyer is a 17 year veteran of the force. They say he remains on non-disciplinary administrative leave until the investigation ends.

Officer Linzenmeyer shot 35-year-old Richard Henke II, of Beaver Dam, on October 26th. Authorities say Henke was shot in the lower part of his body. He was taken into custody and transferred to UW Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries
