MADISON (WKOW) — An event at a Sun Prairie church this weekend aims to get people of all ages into the holiday spirit through a packed musical program and more.

The “Candles & Carols” Christmas Program at Saint. Albert the Great parish in Sun Prairie plans to be one of the major highlights of the holiday season in and around the city this December.

On Tuesday, Cecile Gregory, Director of Liturgy and music at Saint Albert the Great Catholic Church, and Gary Behrens, a member of “Voices of St. Albert” Choir, joined the Wake Up Wisconsin crew to talk more about the upcoming program.

“Our Christmas program is much more than just a single musical event; it’s an evening of food, fun, faith, and entertainment for the entire family to share,” says Gregory.

In addition to the musical program, the parish also plays host to a beautifully prepared dinner, with desserts, before the program at 4:30 p.m. Donations for the meal will support the efforts of St. Vincent de Paul and the Youth Ministry of St. Albert the Great.

“Candles & Carols” will be performed at 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 8th at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, located at 2420 St. Albert the Great Drive in Sun Prairie. It’s free to attend the program.
