MADISON (WKOW) — On Wednesday, business leaders gave an update on how Madison is growing in the technology sector.

During the second annual State of the Sector event, leaders across several industries gathered to assess the city’s position as a global technology leader.

A panel included Google Madison site director Jeff Naughton, Open-Homes CEO Kelda Roys, and Alnisa Allgood, founder of Collaboration for Good.

Zach Brandon, president of the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce, says Madison is one of only 11 cities growing its national share of technology and digital jobs.

“Madison’s economy is moving and moving fast,” said Brandon. “It’s moving in the right direction with the right types of jobs. People are moving here, people want to be here, but we need to make sure Madison’s economy works for everyone and not just a select few.”

Wednesday’s event was sold out.
