Two-car crash ends with vehicle in Reedsburg storefront

REEDSBURG (WKOW) — A distracted driver struck another vehicle Tuesday morning on East Main Street, according to a news release from the Reedsburg Police Department.

Police responded about 9 a.m. to the intersection of E. Main Street and Park Street for a report of a two-vehicle crash.

Thatcher J. Metcalf, 28, of Reedsburg, was westbound on E. Main Street approaching Park Street.

Metcalf’s vehicle ran the red traffic control light and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Joseph P. Marinan, 72, of Reedsburg, according to a police department news release.

Marinan’s vehicle subsequently struck a traffic control light and buildings in the 200 block of E Main Street.

No injuries were reported.

Metcalf was cited for inattentive driving and violation of traffic control signal.
