UPDATE: Police say ‘large confrontation’ led to Beloit homicide

UPDATE (WKOW) — Beloit police say a large confrontation led to Monday night’s shooting, which left one man dead and two others injured.

Police say a 21-year-old Beloit man was shot and killed. A 15-year-old male and a 25-year-old man were hospitalized in the incident, with at least one of those men sustaining a gun shot wound.

Police say they believe all parties know each other and that this is part of an ongoing dispute.

They say they are still actively working on the investigation and the names of the two people shot and the homicide victim are not yet being released at this time, according to police.

The shooting happened just after 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say the shooting happened outdoors. Police officials said they aren’t looking for any suspects, and that the shooting appears to have been targeted.
