MADISON (WKOW) — An event meant to give parents the tools needed to keep their babies safe and have a little fun in the process is happening in Madison this weekend.
The New Baby, New Life community baby shower is Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Monona Terrace. It will offer workshops, breakfast and lunch, free childcare for children 1 through 12-years-old, educational workshops and several baby shower gifts.
The workshops include Safe Sleep and Infant Crying, Badgercare 101 and Safe Kids Car Seat.
It is presented by Anthem who is also partnering with Reach Dane, March of Dimes and United Way of Dane County.
“By providing support programs such as New Baby, New Life, we can teach new parents crucial skills that will help them feel confident about how they interact with their baby and offer peace of mind because we understand that this can be a very anxious time,” said Tracy Wattron from Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Pre-registration is closed, but organizers say anyone is still welcome to attend the baby shower. You are not guaranteed to receive a baby shower gift.
WKOW is a proud sponsor. Wake Up Wisconsin Anchor Rebecca Ribley will host the event.
