UPDATE (WKOW) — A 30-year-old Janesville man is in the hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries Tuesday morning after a crash involving a semi-truck, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Department.

Crews were dispatched to the intersection of WIS 11 at Beloit Avenue at about 5 a.m.

When they arrived they learned a 2004 Ford Escape and a semi-truck collided in the intersection. The SUV was heavily damaged and the driver had to be removed from the vehicle. He was taken to Mercy Hospital.

The semi driver had minor injuries and was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital.

Authorities said the SUV driver will be cited for operating while suspended and failure to yield right of way.


UPDATE (WKOW) — Lanes have reopened after a crash on WIS 11 near Janesville impacted traffic Tuesday morning, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.

An SUV and a semi-truck were involved in the crash at about 5 a.m.

At least one person was taken to the hospital.

Authorities plan to release more information later Tuesday.

ROCK COUNTY (WKOW) —  A crash involving a car and a semi-truck near Janesville has blocked all westbound lanes of WIS 11 at Beloit Avenue, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office is responding to the crash that happened at about 5:15 a.m.

Officials expect lanes to be closed throughout the early morning commute.
