MADISON (WKOW) — Working out doesn’t have to be a chore, it can be fun and interactive. That’s where Zumba comes in.
Zumba is a cardio exercise with a Columbian twist. It was created in the 90s and has since spread to more than 100 different countries.
27 News Anchor and Reporter Caroline Bach is a certified Zumba instructor and taught the Wake Up Wisconsin team a few moves Thursday.
She said she likes Zumba because it feels more like a party than a workout.
“I always tell my students, when you’re coming into class this isn’t a workout. It’s a party,” said Bach. “We’re going to forget that we’re working out but still get some good cardio and strength training in class too.”
Caroline teaches Zumba every Friday at Princeton Club- Madison West. You can check out the group exercise schedule to find a class that works for you.
