(MADISON) — Go Red Goes STEM is working to empower young women to take control of their health and consider a career in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

An event on May 17 at American Family Insurance will expose high school aged girls to some of Wisconsin’s leading science, technology and engineering companies as they showcase their innovative work.

Organizers want to open event-goers eyes to the possibilities that lie ahead.

“Our goal is to have the girls walk away with more experience in knowing what STEM careers are,” said Chief Information Officer Annette Fox. “Learning from women who are already established in those careers and knowing what a huge impact STEM careers can make.”

If you would like to participate as a mentor or a student you can email Charmaine.Friar@heart.org.
