Roommates arrested in downtown Madison stabbing

MADISON (WKOW) — Two roommates were arrested Sunday morning following a stabbing at an apartment in Madison.

Police say it happened at The Hub, on N. Frances St.

The victim, a 21-year-old Madison man, had a knife wound to the stomach and other cuts to his hand.

One roommate said the man put him in a headlock and punched him multiple times in the face, and that’s when the roommate armed himself with a knife.

Neither called police to help the injured man. He was located by private security, bleeding, when he stumbled out of an apartment building elevator.

Stace A. Yaeger, 19, of Madison was arrested for first degree reckless endangerment while armed and possession of drug paraphernalia. Alexander E. Xistris, age 18, of Madison was arrested for failure to report the crime, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
