MADISON (WKOW) — UW-Madison Police arrested two juveniles they said stole a car and were likely involved in an attempted burglary. One suspect has still not been located.

At about 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, UWPD made contact with a stolen vehicle at Chadbourne Avenue and North Roby Street. The three people inside ran away. Two of the teens were found a short time later.

A 15-year-old boy from Madison and a 17-year-old were taken into custody. The third person remains on the loose.

Earlier in the day, police were called to a likely “related attempted burglary” near the 1700 block of Summit Avenue. Officials believe the teens are suspects in that incident too.

If you have information about this case call Madison Area Crimestoppers at (608) 266-6041.
