Day two of Wayne Murphy trial highlighted by testimony and field sobriety video

COLUMBIA COUNTY (WKOW) — Day two of the trail for the man accused of hitting a school bus while operating a semi while impaired featured testimony from kids on the bus.

Jurors saw photos of the damage the semi Wayne Murphy was driving caused when he hit a school bus on the side of the interstate near Lodi. The students attend a school in the Milwaukee area. Murphy is accused of being under the influence of prescription drugs at the time of the crash. Jurors also saw video of the field sobriety tests Murphy performed after the crash.

According to a criminal complaint, authorities found prescription pills in Murphy’s truck. Court records show he is charged with 10 felony counts and 36 misdemeanors.
