Edgerton native Steve Stricker was in the Milwaukee area on Sunday weekend to promote next year’s Ryder Cup, of which he will be USA’s captain. While there, he threw out the first pitch ahead of Sunday’s Brewers-Cubs game. And he held the Ryder Cup trophy, as he sailed a strike over the plate!
“I lobbed it in there,” said Stricker afterwards. “But, just great to be here and bring the Ryder Cup Trophy out there. Kind of kick off this next year getting ready for an unbelievable event that’s going to happen.”
The Ryder Cup will take place in September of 2020 at Whistling Straits near Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
