Cap Times Idea Fest brings in more than 90 speakers

MADISON (WKOW) — More than 90 speakers from across the country shared their ideas this weekend at the Cap Times Idea Fest.

WKOW is proud sponsor of the two day event at Memorial Union, the Pyle Center, Music Hall and Wisconsin Alumni Association headquarters.

Anchor Amber Noggle moderated a panel about social media and the next generation and how to support our youth to use social media in a productive and healthy way.

Capitol Bureau Chief Emilee Fannon sat down for a one-on-one conversation with Senator Ron Johnson, which included topics like immigration, the debt ceiling and the trade war.

Democratic presidential candidate Julian Castro was also interviewed with his twin brother, Texas Congressman Joaquin Castro.

Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes Conway and DNC Chairman Tom Perez also spoke.
