Husky Energy plans to start rebuilding refinery in Superior

(WKOW) — An oil refinery that exploded injuring 36 people plans to rebuild.

Husky Energy says it has been given approval to begin reconstruction in Superior, Wisconsin.

In April last year, an explosion and fire forced much of the city to evacuate.

The company says it will begin work immediately on the $400 million dollar project.

Husky hopes to resume partial operations in 2021.
